Description
Roger Assaker is a serial entrepreneur and business angel investor with a an optimal mix of technology (PhD in Aerospace Engineering), Business (MBA), the leadership and experience to build and commercialize innovative companies and solution.
Before starting MDsim, in October 2022, Roger started e-Xstream engineering in 2003 that he grew to become the world leader in advanced material modeling before exiting to MSC Software, the pioneer of Computer Modeling & Simulation and today part of Hexagon. In early 2020, Roger became the CEO of MSC Software with 2000 associates and multi-100 million euros in global sales.
In 2022, Roger left his CEO position at MSC to specialize in computer modeling and AI applied to medical technology with the mission to improve the life of millions of patients. For this, Roger invests in 3 medical start-up and scalups including 2 insilico medtech where he sits on the board. Plus 2 other start-ups.
Recognized for his leadership and innovation, Roger has received numerous honors, including the Creative Young Entrepreneur Award and multiple business plan awards. He has a history of driving cutting-edge R&D in materials engineering, with several patents and publications in fatigue modeling and composite materials.
Roger holds a PhD in Applied Sciences, an MBA in International Business that has completed executive education at Harvard and MIT.
